Our students deserve the best educators, the best class sizes, and the best supports. Students are central in what drives SRVEA's decisions for the collective bargaining agreement. Retaining and attracting the best requires investing in teaching and learning. Retaining quality educators requires professional pay/benefits as well as great teaching conditions such as manageable class sizes and caseloads.

Benefits available to non-members are contract negotiations and grievance representation at local level. All certificated, non-management employees of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District are included in our Bargaining Unit. If you are not a member, consider joining by contacting SRVEA Membership Chair or your site representative.

SRVEA Committees

Within SRVEA, we have many ways for our members to get involved in the function, goals, and leadership of our Association. Participation in one or more of our committee allows our association to grow which helps more and more of our members. Committees are appointed by the President and approved by the Executive Board. If you are interested in serving on any of the committees below, contact the SRVEA President

Grievances

Our Grievance Committee consists of trained representatives who assist our site reps and members at their school site to solve perceived contract violations. The committee also determines whether or not a grievance should be taken to arbitration.

Bargaining

The Bargaining Team handles our negotiations with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.

Organizing

Our Organizing Committee assists the Negotiations Team and supports them with information, fact finding, and contacting members. Additionally, this committee develops ways for our members to become more active in the Association 

Communications

Our Communications Committee manages the communications that go out to our members and the community including our website, newsletters, bulletins, and press releases.
